Editorial policy
Invest Global Research publishes educational explainers, data posts and news explainers about frontier and emerging markets. This page states the rules every article follows.
What we publish
Three kinds of article: news explainers that put a development from a central bank, finance ministry, regulator or multilateral institution in context, evergreen explainers on a country or sector, and data posts built from the Invest Global dataset.
Sourcing
- Every number, date and rule in an article comes from a fact pack. Each claim in the pack carries a value, unit, source name, source link, as-of date and retrieval date.
- Site data comes first. News claims need one primary source (a central bank, ministry, regulator, the IMF or the World Bank) or two independent sources.
- Legal and regulatory claims, such as foreign ownership limits, visa routes and tax, need a primary government source and a check date. Without one, the claim is removed.
- If a claim cannot be verified, it is not published. We do not show blanks or placeholders.
Authorship and review
Articles are bylined Invest Global Research. We do not invent author names or credentials. An article shows a reviewer name and date only when a person has reviewed and approved it. Drafts are prepared with automated assistance, checked by software against the fact pack, checked again by an independent review pass, and held for human approval before they are scheduled.
What we do not do
- We do not give personal investment, legal or tax advice, and we do not promise returns.
- Companies, funds and instruments appear as examples, not recommendations.
- We do not accept payment for coverage.
Corrections and updates
When a fact changes or an error is found, we correct the article, add a dated note to its update log, and change the updated date. We do not change the updated date for edits that leave the facts the same. Report an error through the contact page.
Independence
Coverage is chosen from a published topic map and from reputable news feeds, not from advertiser or partner requests.
