Open the Terminal
Go to the Terminal. Choose a workspace from the Workspaces menu, such as Country research or Global scan.

Search for anything
Press Ctrl K (Cmd K on a Mac) or / and type a country, a sector or a tool. Press Enter.

Hover or tap any dotted number. You see who published it, the period and when we last confirmed it.

The Terminal
WORKSPACEThe Terminal is a set of tools you open in panels. Each tool has a short code. You never need to remember them: the command bar searches by name too.

Panels and workspaces
- Use the 1 to 4 buttons to show up to four panels. Drag the thin dividers to resize. On a phone you see one panel at a time and switch with the tabs.
- The Workspaces menu loads ready-made layouts. Your layout is saved in this browser and restored next visit.
- Press Shift Enter in the command bar to open a result in a new panel instead of replacing the current one.
- Press ? for the full shortcut list, or type GUIDE in the command bar.

Heatmap (MAP)
FREE PREVIEWOpen MAP, choose an indicator from the menu, and the world colours from low to high. Hover a country for its value, source and date. Click it to open its profile.
- Darker or lighter? Brighter countries sit higher in the ranking. The legend under the map shows the lowest, median and highest value.
- Outline only means no verified value for that country. It is never filled with an estimate.
- Prefer a list? The ranked table under the map has the same data in order, and works with a keyboard and screen reader.
- Free preview includes inflation, growth, government debt, FDI inflows, logistics, internet use, renewables share and two sector scores. Pro unlocks all 81 indicators and 13 sector scores, plus export.
Maritime tracker (MAR)
FREE PREVIEWMost of the world's goods travel by sea, and a handful of narrow passages carry a large share of it. MAR helps you see which markets sit behind each one.
- Chokepoints: click a numbered marker or a name. You get what moves through it, why it matters, what to watch, and links to the countries and sectors involved.
- Container ports by market: markets ranked by container traffic, with the Logistics Performance Index alongside.
- What it does not show yet: live ships or transit counts. These need a licensed feed. Until then MAR says so plainly and shows no estimates.
Reading the numbers
TRUST- Dotted underline means a sourced value. Hover, focus or tap to see the source, period and as-of date.
- Period versus as-of. The period is the year the number describes. As-of is when the source last published or we last confirmed it.
- Exposure scores compare markets within one sector from 0 to 100 using a published formula. They are relative, not a forecast.
- Largest versus most exposed. A small economy can be highly exposed to a sector yet small in absolute terms. Sector pages show both views.
- Check freshness on the data status page.
