Short answers about plans, data and how things work. New here? Start with the guide.

Getting started

What is Invest Global?

A research layer for frontier and emerging markets. It brings country profiles, sector profiles, maps and a keyboard-driven Terminal into one place, and every figure shows where it came from and when. It is educational content, not investment advice.

Where should I start?

Open the Terminal and pick a workspace such as Country research or Global scan. If you prefer to browse, start with the Globe or the country list. The guide walks through both.

Do I need an account?

No account is needed to browse, to use the free Terminal tools, or to preview the heatmap and maritime tracker. Full country profiles are metered, as described on the pricing page.

Free tier and plans

What can I use for free?

Browsing the globe, Explorer and country list; the Terminal country viewer, sector viewer, watchlist, notes, briefs and calendar; and a preview of the heatmap (MAP) and maritime tracker (MAR). The heatmap preview covers 8 indicators and 2 sector scores. The maritime preview has the full chokepoint atlas and the top 12 markets by container traffic.

What does Pro add?

The screener (SCR), compare (CMP) and macro dashboard (MAC), the full heatmap with every indicator and sector score, the full maritime ranking, long macro histories, and CSV export. See the pricing page or contact us for access.

How does the country profile limit work?

Opening a full country profile counts against your monthly allowance. Browsing, searching, the globe and Explorer are never metered. Profiles you have already opened stay open. The pricing page has the details.

How do I unlock Pro Terminal modules?

Pro access arrives as a personal access link. Open the link once and your browser keeps it. If you have one in an email, you can also paste it into the box that appears on a locked module.

Reading the data

Where do the numbers come from?

Public sources such as the World Bank, IMF, OECD, Ember, USGS and the SEC. Hover or tap any dotted value to see its source, period and as-of date. The data status page lists every source, its licence and how fresh it is.

Why is a country missing from a map or table?

Invest Global shows a value only when it has a verified one. Missing values are hidden, never estimated. On the heatmap, a country drawn as an outline has no verified value for that view. Very small states are too small for the map outline and appear in the ranked table only.

What is an exposure score?

A relative score from 0 to 100 showing how strongly a market is tied to a sector, built from published indicators with a published formula. It compares markets with each other. It does not predict returns. See the methodology on each sector page.

Why is the data a year or two old?

Most official statistics are annual and published with a delay. We show the period of every value so you can see exactly what you are looking at. Nothing here is a live market quote.

Maritime tracker

What does the maritime tracker show?

A map of eight major chokepoints and routes, with what moves through each, why it matters to investors and which countries and sectors it touches, plus a ranking of markets by container port traffic from the World Bank.

Does it show ships or live transit counts?

Not yet. Live counts need a licensed data feed and written permission to republish. Until that is in place the tracker shows only sourced context and never estimates.

Trust, privacy and limits

Is this investment advice?

No. Everything on the site is information for education and research. It is not an offer or solicitation, and it does not take your circumstances into account. Frontier and emerging market investing carries significant risk, including total loss. See the full disclaimer.

Is my Terminal layout, watchlist or notes stored on your servers?

No. They are kept in your own browser. Clearing site data removes them, and they do not follow you to another device.

Can I export data?

Pro users can export CSV from any panel and print or save a panel as PDF. Exports carry the source, as-of date and a usage notice. Redistribution of the data is covered by the terms.

How do I report an error or suggest a source?

Use the contribute page or contact us. Corrections to sourced values are checked against the original publisher.
